The ABREX® simulates the testing of wear, by hand use or hand contact, on coating and printing of products, regardless of their shape, structure or material (plastic, metal, leather, etc.). The ABREX® simulates force and contact angle, in combination with standardized test materials and liquids, but also hand creams, lotions, (artificial) perspiration, cleaning agents, etc. The ABREX® offers the possibility to simulate, for example, the complex viscoelastic methodology of hand use, including chemical reactions. https://youtu.be/p9PBLnsv3hY

TAPERADER® is a mobile measuring instrument and provides real-time, reproducible measurement results of surface wear resistance through a method known as micro grinding. This pocket-sized tribometer (TAPERADER) can be used almost anywhere and offers fast and accurate assessment of:
- material surface
- coatings
- paint systems
- etc. the TAPERADER, tribometer, offers two measuring methods:
- During a measuring period, adjustable from 60 to 20 sec., An abrasion operation in the μm range is performed, it is recorded and immediately displayed as an a nm value.
- Determining the time during which, for example, a wear depth of 2 μm is reached and displayed as a result.

The AquAbrasion is an accurate and repeatable way to conduct wet wear tests, which we have proven to be a critical and often damaging step in determining outdoor wear durability. Deionized water can be used to replicate rain, or a sweat solution can be used to replicate sweat. Fabrics exposed to wet conditions are found to wear out more than when subjected to the same abrasive stresses under dry conditions circumstances.

Practical rubber wear test method.
This multi-directional test method closely matches the wear and tear of elastomer components in a vehicle in the field, thus providing authentic and accurate results. This wear test complies with the specifications, in accordance with ASTM D8115 and PV 3984 (Volkswagen). Research has shown that, compared to the well-known ISO 4649, drum test, approx. 80% savings in costs and time. -
The circular motion of the machine creates multi-directional scratches, making the results more representative of the actual end use than other methods in the market, which only scratch in a straight line. This test move is also suitable for testing according to EN 438-2:2016, CEN/TS 16611:2016 and IKEA

DigiEye is VeriVide's unique, groundbreaking digital system for non-contact imaging and assessment of both the color and appearance of any type of sample. It has a huge number of potential applications in the textile and apparel sector, where DigiEye is already widely used and specified by major retailers. Among its many advantages, DigiEye offers complete objectivity, accuracy, consistency and repeatability. It 'sees' color the same way humans do - targeting the elements that external elements such as packaging or labels need to assess and filter out. Data processed by DigiEye may also be sent in real time to one or more other DigiEye systems, located anywhere in the world. This can directly lead to very significant cost-saving global supply chain efficiency. Examples of products and materials that can be quickly and accurately assessed by DigiEye include: Denim Rugs Patterns and prints Lace and lingerie Coordinated Sets - including combinations of 'soft' and 'hard' goods traded together. VeriVide has introduced v.6 of DigiEye's 'cube', which includes further improvements and refinements such as a larger opening for easier access and bulkier items, and all-metal soft-closing sliding mechanism. It can also be removed to facilitate cleaning or maintenance. All this ensures more durability and faster and more efficient operation.
Abrasion tests are carried out with different devices and methods. The Martindale test is a abrasion test in which threads are worn through on flat fabrics or bare wear occurs in pile fabrics. “Martindale’s” name refers to the equipment used for these internationally recognized abrasion tests. The test result is expressed in number of revolutions that the device has made. For example, up to three broken threads in a fabric, or visible pile failure in a pile fabric.
Abrasion tests are also assessed for damage such as pinholes, discoloration, pilling, grip and surface change.
The ABREX abrasion tester is a soft-chemo-mechanical fingertip and hand abrasion tester. The simulation of the abrasive movement corresponds with an accuracy of 99% to use in practice.
Some features are:
- The wear tests are performed at an angle of 45°.
- A dynamically and pneumatically actuated viscoelastic fingertip, rubs or presses with a given pressure on a surface
- The Abrex fingertip makes a tumbling and rubbing motion on a sample. An abrasion test cloth is placed between the sample and the finger. For example, dirt, dandruff, oil, sweat, or different types of test fluids are applied to this test cloth.
- The fingertip can make a contact movement or swipe on the surface.
Examples of application in practice:
- Control panels and control buttons
- Plastic cards such as access passes, credit cards, and the like
- Household equipment
- Leather and leather objects
- Securities, passports, and the like
